The Website
The new golf site needed to reflect all espects of the golf business - incorporating golf, accommodation and restaurant information. It prides itself on being a family run business and York's original stay and play course. They had some lovely imagery which they wanted to include so I chose some stills from drone footage as well as using some photography which one of their members had taken. In order for SH to update the site themselves, we decided to use WordPress.
I found a golf template to customise and we incorporated some custom html code to change a few template-limiting things.
How I worked with Swallow Hall
I had several in-person meetings at Swallow Hall golf site. It was important to me to find out who their target audience was. Who would be using the site and what information was important to them. I wanted to find out their USP which we establised was 'York's original stay and play course'.
Their restaurant needed to feature and they wanted a way to upload the latest menus. They needed accommodation information for the caravan and holiday cottages they have on site. And most importantly they needed a lot of information about golf including a password protected member's area.
